Easy Efo Riro with poundo yam Efo riro is a Yoruba soup made with green leafy vegetables like spinach, ugu, kale, greens and the likes. This is one of my favourite soup and i don't get tired of eating it. Typical efo riro is made with no tomatoes and shouldn't be watery.   1. It's of large husk of (Efo Soko) Spinach.
  2. You need of large titus fish (smoked)optional).
  3. Prepare of offals(shaki/liver/kidney) snails (optional).
  4. You need of roughly blended bell pepper.
  5. It's of medium onion sliced.
  6. You need of locust beans.
  7. You need of palm oil.
  8. It's of smoked stock fish (optional).
  9. Prepare of salt.
  10. You need of bullion knorr cube.
  11. Prepare of tyme/curry.
  12. Prepare of Poundo yam flour.
  13. You need of water for poundo yam making.

Place a pot on medium-high heat. Season meat with salt, pepper, and coriander, then sear on all sides, and set aside.

  1. Chop and wash your spinach (Efo soko) then set Aside to drain in a sieve. Next clean and wash both your smoked Titus and smoked stock fish and also set aside. Now slice the onions in circles.   4. For the poundo yarn : Get a pot and add a cup of water, allow to boil and then turn down the heat before you add your yam flour, stir vigorously to eliminate all plumbs and lumps. now turn up the heat and allow to cook for 2 minutes, stir vigorously once more and then serve with your Efo- Riro. You can enjoy both with a glass of soda..
